Saying goodbye to your pet

After a lifetime spent together, pets become part of the family like any other member, and when their life passes away, the pain is equal to that of losing a family member.

That is why we feel it is important to give them the proper attention even at the moment of death, especially attention to their bodies and memories, a respectful and loving treatment that they undoubtedly deserve.

When a pet dies, the body must be 'disposed of', and this must be done in accordance with the relevant legal regulations. They can therefore be buried in the garden of the house, but with some care. Otherwise, the solution most recommended by regulations, and unfortunately still little known or recognised as inconvenient, inaccessible and exaggerated, is cremation. This is certainly a more hygienic solution than burial in the garden (which, moreover, not everyone has) and more respectful than disposing of the body as 'special waste'.

Pets can find a dignified end in the service that we at Ofisa provide for their families. In fact, we take care of collecting the body at home or in the outpatient facility where it is located and transporting it to the cremation plant in Arezzo. We will then inform you of the date on which the service will take place.

The ashes can then be returned to the family in a special funeral urn, which can be kept or even buried, respecting the wishes of the family and the dignity of an animal that was important.
