Farewell Chapels

Florence funeral homes

When we speak of home we speak of affection, love, memories but also of security, expectations and above all of an intimate and cosy place where we feel safe and protected.
The home represents, especially for us Italians, that familiar and comfortable environment where we spend most of our lives.

Ofisa started precisely from these concepts when it wanted to realise funeral homes in Florence. Places where, just like at home, it is possible to pay your last respects to your departed loved one.

Day after day, 365 days a year, Ofisa's staff works to give you back a place that, far from the cold and alien atmosphere of public facilities and mortuary chambers, can welcome everyone as if in a big hug.

The New Chapels

In Florence's Cappelle del Commiato, the oldest funeral home in Florence, we have created a series of modern and functional structures that respect tradition.
Whether you want to have a religious or secular funeral ceremony, or simply wish to embrace the deceased for one last time in a story-telling environment and in total privacy, we at Ofisa offer funeral homes in different areas of the regional capital.

Even though they are located at different addresses in Florence, the funeral chapels are characterised by the fact that they have always had only one soul ready to accompany you in the wake and ceremony you have decided on for your loved one.

Ofisa's Farewell Chapels in Florence

At our premises in Viale Milton, adjacent to the historic funeral rooms in the centre of Florence, there is now another building of 120 square metres equipped to accommodate up to 70 people.

The two rooms, furnished with classic taste and in light colours, are equipped like the others with a private lounge and an air-conditioned room at 12°C separated from the first by a glass wall in which the remains of your loved one are displayed.

Completing the area is a third room of 65 square metres used for secular and religious ceremonies and a large covered terrace where it is permitted to smoke and seek one's own space in total tranquillity.

Ofisa has always been attentive to the needs of the local area, but also always focused on what is happening in the world, and with its values historically rooted in the world of charitable work and voluntary work, it has wanted to realise with its Funeral Homes in Tuscany several different locations where everyone can celebrate the funeral rite they prefer with the help and experience of its highly trained and qualified staff.
